Built around offshore tanker moorings rather than quays, Marsa az Zaytiyah – also listed as the East Zeit Terminal – is a crude-oil roadstead on Egypt's Gulf of Suez coast. It offers deep anchorage (around 20 m) but no commercial cargo pier; tankers load petroleum from the surrounding Zeit Bay and East Zeit fields. There is no container, breakbulk or general customs handling here, so it is purely an oil-export point. Commercial ocean and customs cargo for the region is better routed through Adabiya and Suez, with Ain Sokhna handling containers. Operators arranging tanker calls should also weigh the larger Ras Shukheir crude terminal further south.
