Four terminal operators set the rhythm at Manzanillo (MX ZLO): SSA Marine Mexico, Contecon Manzanillo, Timsa and Ocupa together moved about 3.89 million TEU in 2025, making this Colima port Mexico's largest container gateway. Mexican customs (ANAM/SAT) clear high volumes of import and export traffic here, anchoring the Pacific coast's main clearance point. A USD 3 billion expansion led by the Naval Ministry (SEMAR) aims to more than double container capacity to around 10 million TEU by 2030. When schedules are tight, Lázaro Cárdenas on the Pacific and Veracruz on the Gulf serve as alternatives.
