**Harbor Type:** Coastal (Natural)
**GPS:** 20.1833, -155.9000

Despite appearing on nautical charts, Mahukona on Hawaii Island's Kohala coast no longer functions as a commercial port. It was built in the 1880s to ship sugar and served as the terminus of the Hawaiian Railroad, ranking among the islands' busier landings in 1913, but rail service ended in 1945 and the harbour closed in 1956. The site is now a county beach park with no cargo facilities and carries no UN/LOCODE, so its freight relevance is effectively nil. Commercial shipments for the region move through Kawaihae, the Kohala coast's deep-draft harbour, or through Hilo.
