Operated by Cameroon's state refiner SONARA, the Limboh Terminal at Cape Limboh sits in Ambas Bay, about 56 km west of Douala. Its layout pairs an offshore single-point mooring (SPM) buoy for crude with a jetty of roughly 900 m handling mogas, jet A1, gas oil, fuel and butane; the single berth takes vessels up to around 130 m LOA at about 10 m depth. The terminal moves on the order of 1.2 million tonnes of crude and 600,000 tonnes of products a year. Since the 2019 fire the refinery has been idle, but storage and distribution of clean products continue, partly via small coastal tankers feeding Douala. This is a tanker and petroleum facility, not a container or breakbulk port: box, RoRo and general-cargo shippers should use the Port of Douala or the deep-water Port of Kribi.
