Three conventional buoy moorings and a single-point mooring form the La Pampilla maritime terminal, an offshore oil facility about eight nautical miles north of Callao, Peru. Operated by Repsol, it loads and discharges crude and refined products for the adjacent La Pampilla refinery via submarine pipelines and hoses. That refinery processes around 117,000 barrels per day, making the terminal a dedicated petroleum node rather than a container or general-cargo berth. In 2022 it was the site of Peru's largest oil spill, when roughly 11,000 barrels escaped during discharge of the tanker Mare Doricum. Containerised and breakbulk traffic is handled instead at the neighbouring port of Callao, home to DP World and APM Terminals. For additional petroleum volumes, the Conchán terminal to the south is the practical alternative.
