Famous as a cruise call rather than a cargo berth, Kotor (ME KOT) sits at the head of the UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor and welcomes roughly 500 cruise ships and around half a million passengers a year. Since the port refocused on nautical tourism, its facilities — two berths beside the walled old town, three bay anchorages and a marina of about 170 berths — serve passengers and yachts, not containerised or break-bulk freight.
