Klein Point is a single-purpose bulk terminal, not a general cargo port: it exists to load limestone for Adelaide Brighton Cement (Adbri) and is managed by Flinders Ports, on the Yorke Peninsula south of Stansbury. Around 2 million tonnes of limestone are shipped each year across Gulf St Vincent to Port Adelaide, traditionally aboard the company's dry-bulk carrier MV Accolade II. Built in 1920 as the Farquhar Jetty and extended in 1965, the structure now runs about 150 metres with roughly 6.5 metres of water depth. For forwarders the role is narrow: there is no container, breakbulk or public customs handling here. Hinterland access is via the quarry's private haul roads, and general freight is not served. Containers or mixed cargo should be routed through Port Adelaide (Outer Harbor).
