Operated by Saudi Aramco, the Ju'aymah terminal (UN/LOCODE SA JUT) forms part of the Ras Tanura complex on the Persian Gulf – the world's largest crude-oil export hub, with combined throughput above 6 million barrels per day. It is a pure crude-oil and LPG export facility; no containers, reefer or general cargo are handled here. Loading takes place at offshore single-point moorings (SPM/SBM) in an open roadstead, where Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) of around 20 m draught berth. Crude is fed from the Eastern Province oilfields through Aramco's pipeline network and the roughly 33-million-barrel storage at adjacent Ras Tanura. Shippers needing container or breakbulk services should use King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, while Ras Tanura itself is the nearest alternative for crude. In June 2026 Aramco resumed loadings at Ras Tanura after a disruption, with Bahri-controlled VLCCs confirming operations.
