Around 450,000 tonnes of refrigerated LPG leave Ju'aymah in an average month, with roughly 60 percent bound for India and about 15 percent for China across 2024 and 2025. Operated by Saudi Aramco, the terminal ranks among the world's largest exporters of natural gas liquids and loads refrigerated LPG onto carriers of 25,000 to 200,000 DWT. It forms part of the Ras Tanura port system on the Persian Gulf, alongside a nearby crude terminal built for deep-draft tankers some seven miles offshore. Handling is confined to liquid energy cargo across offshore loading structures; the site takes no containers, breakbulk or reefer freight. This is a specialised energy export terminal rather than a multipurpose port. Containerised cargo for the Eastern Province should move through King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam or the terminals at Jubail.
