In Australia's Jervis Bay Territory, about 180 km south of Sydney, this deep natural inlet is given over chiefly to defence and conservation rather than commercial shipping. Its shores host the naval establishment HMAS Creswell and the Royal Australian Naval College, ringed by Booderee National Park and the Jervis Bay Marine Park. There are no container, breakbulk or RoRo services, so freight relevance for forwarders is very limited. Commercial cargo is handled instead at Port Kembla (bulk, general cargo and vehicles) some 100 km north, or at Port Botany in Sydney for containers.
