Serving the western Black Sea and reaching inland to central Anatolia and Ankara, Inebolu is a small mining-led port in Turkey's Kastamonu province. Its mainstay is pyrite and copper ore from the nearby Küre district, alongside marble, granite setts, hard coal, fertiliser, diesel oil, timber and awkward engineering vehicles. The harbour handles export, import, transit and domestic traffic but, with depths of about 4.9 metres, stays limited to smaller vessels. It is a bulk, ore and heavy-cargo port rather than a container or liner call. Road improvements on the Kastamonu–Inebolu axis tie it to its hinterland, while Samsun to the east and Zonguldak and Filyos to the west are the practical alternatives for boxes or larger parcels.
