**GPS:** 47.4000, -53.1333

About 6,000 barrels of heavy fuel oil move through Holyrood's marine terminal per generating unit per day at full load, feeding the 490 MW Holyrood Thermal Generating Station on Conception Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. Built solely to supply this oil-fired power plant, the terminal receives dedicated shuttle tankers and handles no container, general cargo or RoRo traffic. Since the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project came online, the station operates mainly as backup capacity and is expected to keep running until at least 2030 according to the operator. Holyrood is therefore not a commercial cargo port; shippers should use St. John's or Argentia instead. Road access runs via the Trans-Canada Highway and provincial roads, as Newfoundland has no rail network. Customs and import procedures are not applicable here, since no general trade cargo is handled at this single-purpose fuel terminal.
