On the Limfjord some 20 nautical miles inside the North Sea coast, Holstebro-Struer is a commercial harbour in north-west Denmark built around several basins, including an oil harbour, eastern harbour and fishing harbour. It handles roughly 1 million tonnes a year across about 100 calls, with general cargo making up some 80% of traffic. Maximum vessel size is around 140 m length and 4 m draught, which limits the port to smaller coasters. No container liner service is confirmed; the quays serve regional breakbulk and bulk flows such as building materials and agricultural goods. Shippers needing container capacity should route via Aarhus or Hamburg. Road and rail connect the port to its Jutland hinterland.
