Set at the head of Gingoog Bay on the north coast of Mindanao, Gingoog is a cluster of berths rather than a single terminal, taking in facilities such as Talisayan, Medina, Lunao, Anakan and the private Indophil quay. The public pier is shallow at about 3.4 m, but the Indophil facility can take vessels up to 200 m in length and 10 m draught. Trade is dominated by regional agricultural and forestry products, and no regular international container line service is confirmed. Coastal road links serve the hinterland. For FCL containers and international connections, nearby Cagayan de Oro is the practical gateway.
