Two single-buoy moorings, not quays, define the Fateh Oil Terminal: it is the offshore crude-export facility of Dubai Petroleum, lying roughly 84 km north-west of Dubai in the Persian Gulf. Crude held in submerged Khazzan storage tanks is pumped straight into tankers, with the second SBM rated at up to 100,000 barrels per hour. Deep open-roadstead water beyond 36 m lets VLCCs of around 350,000 dwt and 27.4 m draught load offshore, and roughly 100 tankers call each year. There is no container handling, no general-cargo berth and no commercial customs clearance at the site. Forwarders moving boxes or project cargo route through Jebel Ali, while oil products and bunkers are better served at Fujairah.
