# Fakse Ladeplads Havn (DK FAK)

**UN/LOCODE:** DK FAK
**Country:** Denmark
**Water Body:** Baltic Sea; North Atlantic Ocean
**Harbor Size:** Very Small
**Harbor Type:** Coastal (Breakwater)
**GPS:** 55.2167, 12.1667

A small industrial quay, a fishing berth and a 120-slip marina make up Fakse Ladeplads on Denmark's Baltic coast. The town's name — 'ladeplads', or loading place — recalls its origin shipping out Faxe limestone, and the quarry inland is still worked. A modest depth of about 3.4 metres limits commercial traffic to small coasters, mainly for bulk and building materials rather than unitised freight. There are no container lines, RoRo or routine commercial customs services here. Forwarders handling boxed or larger cargo should use Køge or Copenhagen.
