Processed salmon and a little fishing-fleet supply are about all that moves through Excursion Inlet (US EXI), a seasonal site on Icy Strait in southeast Alaska. Built around a 1918 cannery and a WWII-era barge terminal, the location now mainly serves tenders and fishermen with ice, fuel and net storage — OBI Seafoods even paused processing here from 2021. There are no container lines, RoRo or commercial customs services, so freight relevance is very limited. Regular cargo for the area is handled at Juneau, the nearest larger port, or at Hoonah.
