Two seven-point conventional buoy mooring systems, set roughly 1.5 miles off El Segundo in Santa Monica Bay, define this facility rather than any quay or wharf. Forwarders with containers or general cargo should route through the adjacent ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Tanker calls are coordinated with a mooring master, so laytime and berthing windows must be arranged with the terminal operator.
