# Dai Hang

Some 265 km southeast of Vung Tau, in water around 110–120 m deep, 'Dai Hang' is not a harbour but Vietnam's Đại Hùng offshore oil field in the Con Son basin. Production runs through the Floating Production Unit Dai Hung 01, with crude stored on the FSO PVN Dai Hung Queen and offloaded to shuttle tankers; a third development phase has recently come on stream. The field is operated by state-owned Petrovietnam (PVEP). There are no container, breakbulk or customs facilities here — it is a pure upstream oil installation. Commercial ocean and container freight for the region moves through Vung Tau and the Cai Mep–Thi Vai port cluster.
