Adani Petronet, Petronet LNG and GCPTCL define Dahej (UN/LOCODE IN DAH), a deep-water multi-cargo port on India's Gulf of Khambhat in Gujarat. Petronet LNG's import terminal expansion to 22.5 million tonnes a year was commissioned on 31 March 2026, and on 26 August 2026 the terminal received its 4,000th LNG cargo. Adani Petronet's solid-cargo terminal, rated at 20 million tonnes a year, moves coal, project and breakbulk cargo on a mechanised conveyor, while GCPTCL handles liquid chemicals. With about 14 m alongside, the port is built for bulk and liquids rather than scheduled container lines. Road and rail tie it tightly to the industrial belts of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. For forwarders, Dahej is the right call for energy, chemical and project cargo; containers are better routed through Hazira, Mundra or Nhava Sheva (JNPT).
