Around 200 vessels a year call at Dabo (UN/LOCODE IDDAS), the only port of Indonesia's Singkep Island in the Lingga Archipelago. A lighterage port rather than a deepwater terminal, it works cargo over a roadstead anchorage and a coaster jetty, shipping the island's traditional tin and bauxite exports; depths of under four metres rule out direct calls by larger ships. A passenger ferry to Daik was added in September 2024. For forwarders handling containers or international freight, Dabo's role is limited — clearance and onward connections run via Batam and the Singapore hub to the north.
