About 843,000 TEU moved through Da Nang (VN DAD) in 2025, up roughly 10.6 percent year on year, confirming the port as central Vietnam's leading container gateway. Until that capacity lands, shippers needing direct Europe or North America services usually route via Hai Phong in the north or the Cai Mep–Cat Lai cluster in the south.
