Originally called Indian Harbor and renamed when its post office opened in 1896, Corea is a classic Down East lobstering village on Maine's Gouldsboro Peninsula. Cargo shippers in the region rely instead on Searsport's Mack Point bulk terminal or, near the border, the port of Eastport.
