A single state-built dock, dating from the 1970s and now slated for a roughly US$43 million federal replacement, is the only marine link for Cold Bay on the Alaska Peninsula. Service comes via bi-weekly dry-cargo barges from Seattle that also call King Cove and Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, plus the Kodiak–Dutch Harbor ferry route. There is no container line or international freight here; for that traffic, Dutch Harbor (Unalaska) is the regional port of reference.
