Bršica combines a dedicated timber berth and livestock piers within the Raša port basin southwest of Rijeka, Croatia, operated under the Port of Rijeka Authority. The multipurpose terminal handles livestock, timber and general cargo, backed by the Štalije storage and stabling complex covering roughly 510,000 m². Its timber berth offers a draught of up to 10 m and the livestock piers about 6 m, with berths able to take vessels carrying as many as 1,000 cattle. Annual throughput runs at around 70 vessels and some 94,000 tonnes, making this a specialised facility rather than a container port. Road and rail links connect it inland towards Pazin and the Istrian interior. For containers, bulk and general liner cargo, Rijeka itself, Bakar and Pula are the natural alternatives.
