Dedicated liquid-bulk berths, extensive shore tank farms and a pipeline backbone define the BOTAŞ terminal at Dörtyol, on the northern shore of the Gulf of İskenderun. The facility handles crude oil, refined petroleum products and LPG, receiving crude through the 518 km line from the Batman oil region and feeding a 37 km link onward to Ceyhan. It is a liquid-cargo installation only: there are no container cranes, breakbulk sheds or general-cargo quays. A floating LNG storage and regasification unit (FSRU) nearby adds to the gulf's energy footprint. Forwarders use Dörtyol for tanker parcels, petroleum products and IMO Class 3 dangerous goods rather than for unitised freight. For containers or conventional cargo in Hatay, İskenderun (LimakPort) and Mersin (MIP) are the working gateways.
