Operated by Chevron in Block B8/32, Benchamas is an offshore oil field rather than a commercial cargo port, lying about 210 km off the Thai coast in the Gulf of Thailand. Crude is stored on the FSO "Benchamas 2", an Aframax tanker converted to roughly 104,500 dwt with about 650,000 barrels of capacity, on station since 2018. The field produces on the order of 13,000 barrels of crude and 45 million cubic feet of gas per day, transferred to tankers. No containers, breakbulk or customs-cleared freight move through, and there is no hinterland link. For commercial shipments, Laem Chabang, Map Ta Phut or Sri Racha are the appropriate ports.
