Dredging and pier-extension works launched in May 2026 have restored Porto di Barletta's basin to its original 8-metre depth, now allowing vessels of up to 10,000 tonnes deadweight to call at this Adriatic port on Italy's Puglia coast. Customs clearance runs through Italy's Agenzia delle Dogane at the port terminal.
