Despite its name, the Baobab Marine Terminal is not a harbour at all but an offshore crude-oil loading point about 25 km off the coast of Côte d'Ivoire, in licence block CI-40. At its centre lies the FPSO "Baobab Ivoirien MV10", a 346,000 dwt floating production, storage and offloading vessel that gathers crude and transfers it to export tankers. The facility is designed for roughly 75,000 barrels of oil per day and the field is operated by Canadian Natural Resources. After a nine-month refurbishment in Dubai, the unit resumed production in mid-2026. There is no container, breakbulk or conventional customs handling here; its relevance is limited to crude-oil export by tanker. For commercial cargo of any kind, the ports of Abidjan and San Pédro are the relevant gateways.
