A 1.9 km LNG jetty with three storage tanks, several crude and product berths and a private dry-bulk pier crowd Quintero Bay, some 15 nautical miles north of Valparaíso. The GNL Quintero terminal regasifies imported LNG, the ENAP-operated Quintero maritime terminal handles crude oil, refined products and LPG for the Aconcagua refinery, and Puerto Ventanas moves coal, copper concentrate and clinker. Ashore, a Codelco copper smelter and a coal-fired power complex anchor the industrial zone. For forwarders this means gas, oil, dry bulk and project cargo are well served, but containers and conventional liner calls are not. Container traffic routes through nearby San Antonio and Valparaíso.
