Battery maker Morrow is the anchor customer at Arendal's Eydehavn terminal (NO ARE), shipping its production equipment — a first batch of 500 containers, some 12,000 pallet equivalents — through logistics provider Rhenus Norway. Located in the Agder region about 250 kilometres south-west of Oslo, the multipurpose port on Norway's Skagerrak coast handles general cargo, RoRo, containers and both dry and wet bulk, and takes vessels up to Panamax size. A 25-metre depth at the entrance, negligible tidal range and ice-free, year-round operation are backed by an electric-drive Liebherr LHM 550 mobile crane lifting up to 144 tonnes, plus open and covered storage. An expansion to about 1.5 kilometres of deep-water quays with RoRo facilities is under way, and a daily ferry link to Eemshaven in the Netherlands is planned from 2027. Hinterland access is mainly by road. For very large container volumes, Oslo, Kristiansand and Larvik remain the stronger options.
