Block marble, bagged cement, chrome and aluminium ingots make up the bulk of cargo crossing Port Akdeniz, Antalya's commercial harbour on Turkey's southern coast. Operated by QTerminals Antalya — a joint venture of Qatar's Mwani (51%) and Milaha (49%) — the multipurpose terminal offers capacity of around 350,000 TEU and some 4 million tonnes of general and bulk cargo a year across container, dry-bulk, project-cargo and cruise berths. Hinterland access runs chiefly by road into Antalya province and the marble-quarrying districts of southern Anatolia, with no rail link. Shippers needing dense container schedules or large-scale customs clearance will find Mersin and Izmir the stronger alternatives.
