Handling roughly 3.0 million TEU in 2024 — down about 5% year on year — across the Marport, Kumport and Mardaş terminals, Ambarlı (TR AMR) is Istanbul's principal container gateway, with combined capacity above 3 million TEU. The facilities line the Sea of Marmara on the European side of the city, west of the historic centre.
