The Federal Roads Office, ASTRA for short, announced the work on October 6th. They are part of the expansion between Luterbach and Härkingen and preparation of the construction site for winter operations. This concerns individual traffic connections, not a complete full closure of the A1. On the night of October 12th to 13th, the Solothurn–Zurich ramp is affected. From October 13th to 14th, the Solothurn–Bern connection follows. The Zurich–Solothurn link will be closed from October 18th to 19th. Bern–Solothurn follows from October 19th to 20th. The times are each from 8 PM to 5 AM. In the event of poor weather, the respective closure can be postponed by one night. ASTRA announces signed detours. Dispatch teams should therefore keep the possible alternative date in mind. A previously stored route or outdated construction site notification is insufficient shortly before departure. For transporters, the direction of travel is decisive. The closure of a ramp does not automatically mean that all connections at the junction are interrupted. When checking a specific job, origin, destination, and planned transit time should be considered together. For night-time trips, generally applicable driving bans and any existing permits must also be observed. The construction site notification does not provide additional driving authorization. For permitted trips, detours can still affect planned arrival times and available driving hours. Shippers should coordinate affected pickups and early deliveries with their transport partner. A brief notice to warehouse and consignee facilities can help if the agreed arrival time needs to be adjusted. ASTRA does not specify a fixed additional driving time. The necessary buffer must therefore be planned based on the actual detour and traffic situation. --- Check the four transport routes against your own tours. Take possible shifts into account and inform recipients of changed arrivals. In short: verify the date and direction, then plan the necessary buffer. --- October 12/13: Solothurn–Zurich. October 13/14: Solothurn–Bern. October 18/19: Zurich–Solothurn. October 19/20: Bern–Solothurn. All closures run from 8 PM to 5 AM. A weather-related postponement by one night is possible.
