Depot charging refers to charging electric commercial vehicles at a carrier's or logistics provider's own operating sites, typically overnight or during standstill periods between tours. Unlike public charging along the route, an operator uses its own or a contractually accessible charging infrastructure at the depot. Networked depot-charging models additionally let operators temporarily make unused capacity at their charging points available to other fleets, with the respective depot operator deciding on prices, access, and availability.
