Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) is a page description language developed by Zebra Technologies that directly controls thermal and thermal-transfer label printers, defining layouts, barcodes, and graphics through text-based commands. WMS platforms, logistics software, and ERP systems send ZPL instructions straight to the printer without a conventional driver, enabling high-throughput, real-time generation of shipping labels, pallet tags, and ID documents. ZPL is the de facto standard for label automation across logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
