Typical components include conveyor systems, racking solutions ranging from standard pallet racking to high-bay automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and identification technologies such as barcode scanners and RFID. Logistics providers select their setup based on throughput volume, SKU complexity, and target automation level. Warehouse technology refers to the physical and systems infrastructure; warehouse management describes the operational processes layered on top of it.
