The result is fewer picking errors, higher throughput, and more reliable inventory accuracy. In e-commerce fulfilment, pharmaceutical logistics, and cold-chain operations, end-to-end traceability without a WMS is barely feasible. A WMS differs from an ERP system, which integrates finance, procurement, and logistics at a higher level but typically delegates day-to-day warehouse execution to the WMS.
