A button press confirms the pick, the light extinguishes, and the next position activates automatically. Compared with paper-based picking, error rates drop sharply; compared with Pick by Voice, the technology requires no headset and less operator training. The system is best suited to medium and large distribution centres with a relatively stable product range and high picking volumes.
