Passar 1.0 is the first expansion stage of the BAZG's new Swiss goods traffic system Passar and covers the transit and export domains. With it, the legacy systems NCTS and e-dec Export were replaced: since 1 January 2026 all exporters and forwarders must declare their exports via Passar Ausfuhr, and e-dec Export is no longer available. In Passar the goods are declared electronically (goods declaration); the transport process is handled via a separate transport declaration and activation at the border crossing. For companies, use requires registration in the BAZG ePortal with the appropriate business-partner roles. Passar 1.0 is followed by Passar 2.0 (import, rollout from 2026) and Passar 3.0 (monitored procedures and paper forms, from 2028). Not to be confused with Passar 2.0, which concerns the import domain. As of June 2026.
