Familiar examples include Euro pallet dimensions, stacking load limits for corrugated cartons, and dangerous goods packing groups under ADR, the IMDG Code, and IATA-DGR. For freight forwarders and shippers, compliance reduces damage claims, streamlines handling operations, and prevents rejection during carrier or customs inspections. Not to be confused with packaging regulations, which impose legally enforceable obligations rather than technical benchmarks.
