An NCTS destination party is the person or business that confirms the arrival of goods at the destination customs office within the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS), formally closing the transit procedure. Typically the consignee, a local customs agent, or receiving freight forwarder, this party must be named in the transit declaration. On arrival, the destination party reports any discrepancies between declared and actual goods; without this notification, the transit remains open in the system and the principal's guarantee is not released. In Switzerland this arrival notification runs through the BAZG system Passar under the common transit procedure (CTC) or national transit procedure.
