When a supplier makes recurring deliveries of the same goods to the same buyer over an extended period, a long-term origin declaration replaces the need for a separate origin document with every shipment. The declaration certifies that the goods comply with the applicable preferential rules of origin and covers all deliveries falling within the stated validity period—typically twelve to twenty-four months. Should the product composition, place of manufacture, or any other origin-relevant condition change, the supplier must immediately revoke or amend the declaration; failure to do so can result in liability for preferential duties wrongly claimed. Required content includes supplier details, a product description, the validity period, and the relevant rule of origin. Compared with shipment-by-shipment supplier declarations, the long-term form substantially cuts administrative overhead in ongoing trading relationships.
