It applies weight limits, stacking restrictions, stability requirements, and shipper-specific rules, outputting a three-dimensional loading plan that warehouse staff or drivers can follow directly. Such systems are either integrated into warehouse management or transport management platforms (WMS/TMS) or deployed as standalone planning tools. They reduce freight costs, eliminate wasted space, and lower per-shipment carbon emissions. They differ from route optimisation systems, which assign stops to vehicles but do not determine how cargo is physically arranged inside the load unit.
