This document specifies the load's weight and center of gravity, the required lifting equipment, rigging attachment points, lift angles, and all safety clearances to be observed. Every lift becomes traceable and legally accountable; on-site improvisation is ruled out. In project logistics, lifting plans are standard practice and are frequently required by ports and industrial sites as a formal condition for access or operating permits. They should not be confused with the transport plan, which governs the entire routing of a heavy consignment—a lifting plan addresses individual lift operations only.
