A retailer orders goods from an overseas supplier and wants a single, all-in price delivered to its warehouse – no open freight or customs positions. That is the logic behind an LDP (Landed Duty Paid) arrangement: the seller covers all freight, insurance, import duties, and local taxes through to delivery at the named destination. The buyer takes receipt with no further cost obligation; the seller absorbs the full financial and regulatory burden in the destination country. LDP is not an official Incoterm, but it functions as a widely used contractual standard in retail and consumer goods sourcing – often compared to DDP, which is the formally defined equivalent under the Incoterms rules.
