A warehouse operative needs to move a pallet from goods-in to the racking with no forklift at hand – that is the everyday domain of the hydraulic pallet truck. Two forks slide under the pallet, a pump lever builds hydraulic pressure to raise the load a few centimetres clear of the floor, and the operator steers by the tiller arm. Manual and powered (electric) versions both exist; electric models handle lifting and travel automatically and are preferred for heavier loads or longer internal routes. The hydraulic pallet truck ranks among the most widely used materials-handling devices in warehousing, retail logistics, and production. It should not be confused with dedicated hydraulic pallet lifting equipment, which is designed for vertical elevation to greater heights rather than short-distance floor-level transport.
