# Governance DaziT

> Governance DaziT refers to the steering and oversight structure of the DaziT transformation programme, through which the Swiss customs administration (formerly EZV, today the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, BAZG) is being digitalised and modernised.

Governance DaziT refers to the steering and oversight structure of the DaziT transformation programme, through which the Swiss customs administration (formerly EZV, today the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, BAZG) is being digitalised and modernised. The principal is the Federal Council; lead responsibility lies with the Federal Department of Finance (FDF), to which the BAZG belongs. In 2017 Parliament approved a commitment credit of around CHF 393 million for DaziT, released in four tranches. Because of its size and importance, DaziT is classified as a federal key ICT project and is subject to enhanced supervision: the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) audits the programme regularly and the Finance Delegation (FinDel) of the federal chambers monitors it. Within the BAZG, a dedicated programme organisation (programme management and steering bodies) handles the operational delivery of the individual projects – in particular the central goods-traffic system Passar. Distinction: "Governance DaziT" denotes the steering and control framework, DaziT the programme itself, Passar the IT solution that emerges from it, and the BAZG the implementing authority.
