The shipper secures the vehicle's full cargo capacity regardless of whether every cubic metre or kilogram is actually utilised. FTL is the preferred choice for large, heavy, or time-sensitive consignments. Unlike Less Than Truckload (LTL), there are no intermediate handling points or consolidation hubs, which reduces damage risk and makes transit times predictable. For logistics planners, FTL simplifies contracting and places unambiguous liability with a single carrier for the entire move.
