Freight forwarders, shippers, and warehouse operators rely on the Euro pallet as the backbone of European goods handling. It is a standardised wooden pallet measuring 1200 × 800 mm, certified to EPAL (European Pallet Association) specifications and identifiable by the branded EPAL mark. The system runs on a swap principle: the consignee returns an equivalent pallet, while damaged units pass through approved repair stations before re-entering circulation. Racking systems, truck floors, and loading bays across Europe are dimensioned to this footprint, making the Euro pallet the de-facto standard for cross-border land transport. Unlike single-use pallets, which are discarded after one trip, the Euro pallet pays for itself across many cycles.
